Blender Render vs Risoprint
I wanted to make a zoetrope film. Something cyclical would naturally fit the constraint. The life cycle of the pacific salmon instantly came to mind! It is a intense, tragic, yet hopeful journey. I first made the model in blender, composited it in After Effects, printed out the frames on the risograph, shot those prints in Dragon Frame, then composited it again in After Effects. Riso is really fun to animate with and it lends itself greatly to loops. Each print is slightly different, giving a natural boil to the image.
